Let us talk about beauty from a different angle!

We have our own criteria for judging the beauty of a woman. We look the beauty of a lady from a certain angle and then pass the remarks whether she is beautiful or not. It's not fair. Let me tell every woman that she is unique and beautiful.

The business of beauty is thriving everywhere. Women are spending much of their time and money on buying beauty products. Even in the third world countries, women living below the poverty line, buy cheap and substandard beauty products, which give more harm to their skin than good.

It's the fundamental right of every woman to look beautiful. Every woman wants to listen the sweet words "you are beautiful". But the beauty of a woman is far from her looks or figure. Physical beauty is only one aspect while a beautiful charming personality is a complete blend of many fine characteristics such as good manners, etiquette, behavior, smile, intelligence, sense of humor, social and family values etc., all make a woman look beautiful and attractive.

Didn't you know that there is a marked difference between a carefully hand woven expensive Persian carpet and a cheap machine made carpet. Both of these cannot be equated. A beautiful woman is like an elegant hand-knotted Persian carpet. Each and every silky, colorful thread of her character, nicely woven into her personality, gives a woman an everlasting beauty and attraction.

Looks are very important indeed but the characteristics of a person are much more important. Besides taking care of your physical beauty, why not think of improving your inner beauty. The beauty which everyone admires is becoming a rare commodity these days. While on your way to a beauty parlor keep on thinking ways of improving your inner beauty.

Beauty - How to Succeed

Overview

The concept of Beauty can refer to a particular person, a special place, an object of interest or even the concept of an idea, all of which can provide a perceptual experience related to pleasure, meaning or satisfaction. The study of beauty is intrinsically a part of aesthetics, sociology, social psychology and culture. In the form of a cultural creation, beauty has become extremely commercialised.

The characterisation of an "ideal beauty" is represented in a person who is admired, or possesses features widely associated with beauty in a particular culture. There are many historical figures that have come to personify beauty itself, such as Cleopatra, Helen of Troy, and Marilyn Monroe. The subjective experience, which refers to the sensory buzz and awareness associated with a perceptive mind, related to "beauty", often involves the interpretation of some entity as being as one and in harmony with nature, which may lead to feelings of attraction and emotional well-being.

Beauty, as expressed by the popular saying, is in the eye of the beholder. In its most profound sense, beauty may engender a salient experience, which refers to a state or quality of standing out relative to neighboring objects, of positive reflection about the meaning of one's own existence. Something that reveals or resounds with personal meaning may indeed be regarded as an object of beauty.

In classical Greek mythology, beauty was associated with the idea of "being of one's hour". Accordingly, a ripe fruit, which is "of its time", was considered beautiful, whereas a young woman trying to appear older or an older woman trying to appear younger would not be considered beautiful.

History of Beauty

It was in the submissions of the ancient Greek philosophers, such as Pythagoras, that the earliest Western appreciation of beauty was to be found. The school, personified by Pythagoras, discovered that there was a strong connection between mathematics and beauty.

In particular, they noted that objects proportioned according to the golden rule, which can be expressed as a mathematical constant with a value of 1.618, seemed more attractive. In fact, this view of symmetrical structures that were in proportion is based on ancient Greek architecture.

It has been found that people whose facial features are symmetric and proportioned, in accordance with the golden ratio, are considered more attractive than those whose faces are not. Another important factor is that of symmetry since it suggests the absence of any hereditary or acquired defects. In fact, one of a number of aesthetic characteristics, including being average and that of youth, which are associated with the health, physical attractiveness and, ultimately, the beauty of a person, is associated with the concept of symmetry, especially that of facial features.

Even though there may be significant changes in image and fashion, it has been found that people's interpretation of beauty may be defined in a number of ways. In this respect, eyes that are large and a complexion that is soft and clear, are especially desirable. Further, such features are most certainly considered beautiful, irrespective of gender, and certainly regardless of culture.

Interestingly, the features of a newborn baby are inherently attractive, and youthfulness is a timeless characteristic that is always associated with beauty. Early in child development, there is evidence to suggest that an affinity for beautiful faces emerges, and this definition of attractiveness is regardless of their gender or culture.

Health Is Internal Beauty

Jean Kerr, American author and playwright wrote: "I'm tired of all this nonsense about beauty being only skin-deep. That's deep enough. What do you want an adorable pancreas?"--

Jean Kerr was closer to the truth than she might have realized. Every outside organ of the human body is eligible to be called beautiful, but because internal organs are ordinarily seen only by surgeons, they get excluded from the beauty contest. If our internal organs were observed, we would describe them in terms of attractiveness, and normal color and shape would be considered beautiful. You need only compare pictures of normal healthy internal organs with pictures of their infected and diseased counterparts in the medical books to convince yourself that health and beauty are synonymous.

A healthy colon looks like evenly braided muscles. On the other hand, unhealthy colons are deformed: twisted and looped in some parts, ballooned and engorged in others, as revealed by barium X-rays. Visit a colon therapist, if only to observe the pictures of unhealthy colons and see for yourself how ugly one can be on the inside.

The blood of a healthy person is also beautiful. The red blood cells are uniformly round. The blood of a body full of toxins is contaminated with pathological bacteria, abnormal proteins, and parasites. When red blood corpuscles clump together, the condition is called Rouleau or "sticky" blood. Rouleau, this clumpy, unattractive blood, appears 5 to 20 years before symptoms of illness present themselves. It is an early messenger of hundreds of degenerative diseases. Conglomerates of red blood cells cannot access the fine capillaries of the body. Rouleau is particularly damaging to the organs of the head, in particular the eyes, ears, and scalp. A diet high in meat and dairy products increases the stickiness of your platelets. Blood that becomes sticky is a sure precursor of blood clots, strokes, and heart attacks.

The arterial pipelines in a healthy circulatory system are clean and clear from obstructions. In healthy arteries, the inner lining, called the intima, is smooth, supple, and without cracks. A cross-section of a normal coronary artery shows no arterial thickening or blood-blocking plaque deposits.

An unhealthy circulatory system paints an entirely different picture. The middle muscular layer of the artery can no longer fully recoil after a pulse wave has expanded the vessel. Elasticity of the artery walls is reduced, and cracks and hollows appear. They catch calcium, cholesterol deposits, fat accumulations, and clusters of platelets. Cholesterol deposits roughen the inner surfaces and damage the walls of the arteries. At first, plaque build-up does not cause discomfort--it is just ugly. But later, thick, clogged bloodstream results in coronary arteries becoming occluded with fatty buildup, which effects circulation and causes deterioration of the connective tissues. Deterioration and abnormal hardening of the arteries result in a process called arteriosclerosis and may cause heart disease, stroke, and hypertension.

The body often displays real ingenuity faced with substances it cannot metabolize or eliminate. It breaks them down and distributes them to remote areas of the body away from vital organs to minimize harm. The body takes the poisons out-of-the-way but not necessarily out of sight. The toxic wastes are pushed towards the peripheral organs, which happen to be the skin and every other organ that we can see on the outside.

External deformities are direct manifestations of internal pathologies. Ugly ropes of varicose veins, puffy faces, and cellulite are telling tales about your inside condition. Every pimple, psoriasis, or pigment change on your skin is in fact a reflection of some organ struggling to do its job. Every bulge, boil, or swelling is a sign that the body is pushing out some toxins in its effort to protect itself.

The term "natural beauty" has been misused and abused beyond restoration. Because there is no natural beauty without 100% natural food, the beauty that will emerge on the raw food diet I call Rawsome Beauty. Our external beauty is at its best when our internal organs are in the best possible shape, form, and color. Beautiful is not something extra the body needs: to be beautiful both inside and out is the natural state of one's body.

The vitality of internal organs, working properly, transcends your skin and brings a radiance to your face. This is when beauty does penetrate the skin. So when we admire sparkling eyes, fabulous skin, and lustrous hair, in a way we are admiring the teamwork of a healthy liver, colon, kidneys, etc. How profound the direct meaning of the phrase "beauty comes from within" really is.

Health and beauty are considered to be chronological losses. In my books I will convince you they don't have to be. It is biologically possible to look beautiful at any age. I intend to prove that beauty is not an accident; beauty is your birthright, it can be yours through the right daily choices, food you put in your mouth being the most important one. You can dramatically improve your appearance and do it 100 percent on your own without expensive products, plastic surgery or costly cosmetics.

Cucumber Toner

1 peeled cucumber

1 teaspoon of witch hazel

1 teaspoon of rose water

egg white

Mash the cucumber, add witch hazel and rose water; beat the egg white to a froth; mix well. Refrigerate. Strain before use.

Rose Vinegar

4 cups of dried red roses

½ cup of essence of rose

1 pint vinegar

Put all the ingredients in a lidded glass jar; allow to stand for three weeks, often shaking it. Strain, and dilute with equal parts of distilled water. Use as a toner.

Beauty Secrets for Facemasks

Cucumber Mask

1 cucumber

¼ teaspoon of lemon juice

1 teaspoon witch hazel

1 teaspoon alcohol

1 egg white, whipped

Peel the cucumber and extract the juice, add lemon juice, witch hazel and alcohol. Stir well; then blend in the whipped egg. Allow to dry on your face for a minimum of 15 minutes. Rinse off.

Honey Mask

1 tablespoon of honey

1 egg yolk

1 teaspoon olive oil

Beat the egg yolk into the oil, then blend in the honey. Apply to your face and leave on for 15 minutes before rinsing away.

Miscellaneous Beauty Secrets

Anti-Sunburn Cream

1 egg white, beaten

1 teaspoon of honey

½ teaspoon of witch hazel

Blend all the ingredients together until even. Smooth over bad sunburn. Always refrigerate.

Rose Essence

3 handfuls of dried rose petals

sweet almond oil as needed

In a glass bowl or jar, put the dried rose petals and cover with the oil. Put the pot in a pan of simmering water, heat until the oil has removed all the colour of the petals. Strain; keep tightly lidded.

Beauty Secrets for Your Hair

Olive Oil Conditioning

Put a very small amount of olive oil onto the palm of your hand; rub your hands together so they glisten. Now apply to your hair where it needs it most i.e.: at the ends. Scrunch it sparingly through the rest of your hair avoiding the roots. Leave for ten minutes so the hair shafts can absorb it, then comb through, and style as usual. Your hair will absorb the oil and it will help to define curls and add weight to light flyaway hair. This is one of my favourite beauty secrets.

For very dry hair, massage 2 tablespoons of warm olive oil from roots to ends. Wring out a towel in hot water and wind round your head turban-style and leave on for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes shampoo and rinse your hair using your normal shampoo and style as usual. This will give deep conditioning and leave your hair soft and manageable.

Beauty Secrets for Your Hands

Cuticle Softener

I tablespoons of fresh or frozen pineapple juice

2 tablespoons of egg yolk

½ teaspoon of cider vinegar

Mix together - a very sloppy texture in which nails should be soaked for 30 minutes. It can be preserved for a while in the refrigerator.

Protective Cream

(wear under gloves)

1 dessert spoon of fuller's earth powder (buy sachet from pharmacists)

1 dessert spoon of almond oil

2 egg yolks

Mix all three ingredients together into an even blend; keep chilled until use. Keep on during the day under gloves or overnight, then rinse off.

Beauty Pageants: What People Look For In A Woman

The phrase, beauty pageant, almost invariably refers only to contests for women since similar events for men are called by other names and are more likely to be "body building" contests. History tells us that choosing symbolic kings and queens for certain festivities is an ancient custom in certain parts of the world where beautiful young women are selected as a symbol of their nations' virtues and other abstract ideas.

In beauty contests, efforts have been made to emphasize the different aspects of women and highlight their personal successes during the competitions, as against the earlier claims that the contests were trivial events whose interpretation required no scholarly effort. As is evident today, the organizers have put in their best to give women the opportunity to rise to the top through such contests, whereas pageant participants themselves are made to return to their hometowns to promote community involvement.

Competitions like this, where most women are preferred more than others, it has been found that rather than providing women with opportunities, beauty contests have gone a long way in hurting the prospects of other women who do not fit into the current cultural ideal of beauty, hence these contests are only meant to promote the idea that those who fit this ideal are "better" than those who do not. And some pageants require a swimsuit for a portion of the competition, which emphasizes the physical bodies of women, some claim in undressed state.

Naturally, the body of a woman attracts attention. The face of a pretty woman looms large in the background of any colourful canvas. What people fail to understand today about the word 'Beauty' is that is more than make-up. The pretty face isn't the upshot of diligent external body-care but the product of internal, balanced nutrition that only God through His word can give!

There's a message here for every beauty pageant contestant on the necessity of 'inner beauty' in her walk with God and work for the Saviour. The beauty of the woman is not the creation of make-ups that help conceal wrinkles and blemishes. Nor is it the presence of attractive mien, elegant physique or gorgeous gait. True beauty consists in outward display of virtue and blameless conduct, emanating from a pure heart.

The Scripture doesn't applaud physical beauty as much as it praises Christian perfection created and sustained by the fear of God. In fact, it warns, "Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman that fears the Lord, she shall be praised' (Proverbs 31:30).

In the beginning, when God created the woman, there was no make-up. The first woman, Eve, was created perfectly with good looks and pure charm. For God had ensured that "every thing that He had made...was very good' (Genesis 1:31). And Adam was satisfied to have Eve as his wife, saying, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh..." (Genesis 2:23). Mother Eve was beautiful, no doubt. But her beauty wasn't limited to her physical appearance. Since everything God created was very good, Eve must have been the epitome of virtue - holy, loving, caring, considerate, gentle, meek, kind, wise, prudent, and so forth (Galatians 5:22-23). Eve's heart had no seed or root of sin. She was pure within and holy without, until the devil entered the garden and tempted her. The entry of sin marred the purity of Eve and destroyed her beauty - the ability to live in holiness. Thus, while Eve still appeared beautiful on the outside, her heart had lost its original inclination to holiness; it was then aligned to evil. Eve developed the sin nature; and her real beauty was gone.

Organizers of beauty pageants pretend that they have eventually crowned beauty queens, the name given to the winners of beauty contests, yet what they have just done is to reveal the ruined divine nature of womanhood. Going by what is seen today in such elaborate contests; human beings are only succeeding in mocking themselves by getting dressed in stolen materials. As a beauty queen, you as well as all human beings, were born with the nature of sin, the propensity for rebellion, and the tendency to stray from God's will and way (Psalm 51:5).

The heart you carry is the source of all this iniquity from which proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies, and all other works of the flesh such as uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, reveling, and such things like that. Because the heart is captive to sin, men and women are prone to deviate from God's law in words, thoughts and deeds (Matthew 12:34; Romans 7:19-24).

Now, in beauty pageants, what do people look for in a woman? The answer is clear: they look for the evil parts and get satisfied. It is not all about being able to speak in public; multiculturalism, which is a widely viewed aspect in pageants; or the so-called promotion of self-esteem of the contestants. Having a sense of belonging with other contestants, and the larger pageant community can never fulfill the purpose God has for man. The claim that pageants turned girls into women is not even an issue here. All efforts put up to please God while one still live in sin are not acceptable for salvation. Sin must be conquered, otherwise, there can be no transformation; nor can there be restoration of the Edenic glory.

Beauty queens may align themselves with many clubs to raise money for charities; attend religious and other social functions; become role models for little girls and teens; try to understand and support topical issues; etc., yet these things are mere cosmetics when done in sin. Because human beings couldn't free themselves from the bondage of sin, God, in His mercy and love, stepped in to help us out (John 3:16). The salvation offered by Christ is obtainable only by repentance and faith. To be saved and be made a new creature, you must confess your sins, repent of them and believe on the Lord Jesus as Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9).

Beauty can defined in a variety of ways; to some it simply means the state of being pleasant to the eyes while to others it is something that brings a feeling of sweetness to the heart. To others still, it could be a sound or touch that soothes the soul however; true beauty in the actual sense encompasses all these and even more, for instance a person can be pleasant in appearance but in speech and action the reverse may be the case surely that person can not be truly described as beautiful, let us say you were asked by the police to describe a thug who just mugged you at gunpoint certainly beautiful will not come up in your description of the thug regardless of how good looking he appears to be.

Now we know what beauty truly is the next step is to establish how we get it or where it comes from. The simple truth is everything was created beautiful, beauty is within us, and it is all around us as nature has bestowed us with so much of it. The food we eat, the amount of rest, recreation, exercising and how we socialise are all important factors here. Our lifestyles may be such that we are to busy or we find it too difficult to balance out all these factors, for instance in the case of a balanced diet, we sometimes find this difficult to achieve not because we can not afford it, but because the time and knowledge required to put it together is not there especially in the modern world we live in where there is an abundance of junk food.
